This Blog is one of my contributions to Acts 26:18 Ministries. I am not a public speaker so this Spirit Led Corner is where I share my heart with you about Issues that are Important to my husband & I as we endeavor to minister to people.

First of all I would like to say that I really like the name of our ministry. I feel that the Lord gave us the name because it is at the heart of what people really need.

Acts 26:18
"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light & from the power of satan unto God, that they may recieve forgiveness of sins, & inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." (Jesus)

We preach Jesus Christ & Him crucified and that is what people need, but is it what people want?

John 3:19 "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, & men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."

2 Cor. 4:3-6 "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them...

This gospel is Jesus Christ & Him Crucified. It is hid to those who will not accept it. Because they don't believe in Jesus & what he did, that gives satan legal access into their lives. But when we place our faith in what Jesus did at the cross that gives the the Holy Spirit the latitude to work in our lives.

People don't want the light to shine on them because their deeds are evil & they don't want to change. When the light "Jesus" comes into someone's life it produces change. People do not want to change. I had someone tell me once they did not want to go to church because they would have to stop drinking with their friends. WOW how sad that someone would exchange eternal life for something like that.

This is why what God has called us & many others to do is so important. Men must be shown the truth. Telling them of Jesus & what he did can open their eyes and bring them out of that darkness.

The Passion of the ministry is to point to Jesus and what he did for us at the Cross. This is the only hope of mankind.
